System audio track not found

System audio is supported with some limitations depending on your operating system:

Microsoft Windows and Chromebook support Entire screen or Chrome tab.

Mac OSX and Linux only support Chrome tab.

Recording from a specific application is not supported by any operating system. These limitations are imposed by Chrome and there is nothing we - or other Chrome extensions - can do about it.

How can I enable camera and microphone permission?

When you start a recording with camera or microphone for the first time the extension will ask you for permissions. If you accidentally denied you can restore them by following these steps:

Q: How to record seekable videos?

You can use the Optimize video feature to make videos seekable. This will allow you to navigate through the video and skip parts of it. You can click on the Optimize button after you recorded a video. This button is also available on the Latest Videos and Video Player pages, so you can always optimize videos even if you recorded them with an older version of our Screen Recorder. Creating seekable videos requires quite some memory and cpu depending on the length of your video. Some users reported issues with this feature and we decided to disable it by default starting from version 3.2.4 in order to give the best experience to all users. You can enable this option for all recordings from the Settings.

Select the Recording Permissions tab
Click the Fix in new tab button
Enable permissions

Right click on the extension's icon in Chrome
Select Options
Enable permissions

You should now see the settings page in a new tab. Click the camera or microphone icon in the address bar
Select Always allow access

This will fix the Camera not found and Microphone not found errors.

How to play screen recordings?

Accepted Answer

Videos you save from the Screen Recorder - Scre.io are in WebM format. A WebM Video file is supported and opened by most web browsers. If you get a black screen it means that the player does not support this format. We recommend to play the videos in the browser with Scre or with VLC Media Player.

Steps

Open Scre
Click the Menu icon
Select Video Player
Click Open or drag and drop the video file you want to play in Scre window

This will solve blank or empty screen and missing audio or video errors.

Scre.io always auto-saves the latest 5 recordings. In case of a crash, you can always recover them.

Open Screen Recorder - Scre.io
Click on the menu and go to "Recent Videos"
There you will find the last 5 recordings.

When i try to play the video is just a black screen?

This means you player does not support WebM format. Please use a different player like Chrome or VLC Media Player.
